Is there any scientific evidence for apple cider vinegar?

The human studies done into apple cider vinegar have also supported these findings.  A small study of 11 people showed that their blood sugar response was 55% lower an hour after eating, when they had consumed vinegar with a high carbohydrate meal. They went on to reduce their calories by around 250 – 300 that day. It can also slow the rate that food leaves our stomach when consumed with a starchy meal. Leaving us with lower blood sugar and insulin levels and a feeling of fullness.

Another 12-week study was undertaken in Japan with 144 overweight adults. Some of the participants were instructed to drink 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a day, others 2 tablespoons and the rest were ingesting a placebo. They ate as they normally would, but restricted their alcohol intake. The results were very positive.

The group consuming 1 tablespoon on average lost 1.2 kg, their body fat percentage went down by 0.7% and their waist circumference was reduced by 1.4 cm. The group who were taking 2 tablespoons per day had even better results, on average they had dropped 1.7 kg, their body fat had decreased by 0.9% and their waist circumference by 1.9 cm. The group consuming the placebo went onto gain 0.4 kg on average and saw a slight increase in their waist size.

So, this evidence backs up how well apple cider vinegar for weight loss works!
